Essential Functions:

• Plan, organize, and implement daily activities in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Ensure children’s basic needs are met while fostering learning and growth.
• Care for, supervise, and engage children in activities after their school day, starting at 2:15 PM.

We are currently accepting applications for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) / Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA). The LBA/BCBA will work collaboratively with our educational staff, providing guidance and support using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to promote the best outcomes for our students.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support, training, and supervision to ABA instructional staff on the direct implementation of ABA interventions, including:
  • Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)
  • Natural Environment Teaching (NET)
  • Functional Communication Training (FCT)
  • Preference Assessments
  • Monitoring and evaluating program data
• Train and guide ABA instructional staff in generating instructional programs that align students’ IEP goals with ABLLS assessment domains.
• Monitor and evaluate instructional program books.
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
• Assist the Coordinator of Psychology in the development and implementation of professional development training in ABA principles.

Qualifications:

Position Overview:

A Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and feeding disorders in infants and children.

Required Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech and Language Pathology.
• Current NYSED license as a Speech/Language Pathologist.
• Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) or Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH).

Teacher Aide Positions Available

We are currently looking for qualified Teacher Aides across our multiple campus locations.

Essential Functions:

The New York State Education Department (SED) defines a Teacher Aide as an individual who assists teachers with non-teaching duties, including:

• Managing records, materials, and equipment.
• Attending to the physical needs of students.

Work Schedule:

Job Summary/Objective:

The Physical Therapist works with children to improve their body’s function and movement.

Essential Functions:

• Review pertinent evaluations and medical history.
• Review each student’s IEP prior to the first treatment and preferably before the first day of school.
• Ensure that the physician’s prescription is current before beginning therapy.
• Periodically review the IEP to ensure PT services are being implemented correctly.
• Assess children’s progress toward goal acquisition both informally and formally.
• Document treatment progress through daily session notes, quarterly progress notes, yearly evaluations, and IEP updates.
• Write reports documenting each child’s progress, strengths, and needs.
• Submit treatment log notes according to VCLC timeline requirements.
• Communicate and collaborate with families regarding their child’s progress and needs.
• Work closely with the classroom team to ensure continuity in therapy interventions.
• Ensure all missed sessions are made up within 30 days, per SED requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and staff.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the CEO, CFO, Executive Program Director, Principal, or Clinical Coordinator.
