Speech Language Pathologist- Immediate Need for our Northport & Syosset Location
Variety Child Learning Center (VCLC) is a 4410 not-for-profit agency providing quality educational and therapeutic services to young children with disabilities. Our facilities are located in Syosset, Levittown, and East Northport NY. Our schools operate 12 months/year following a school-based calendar. We are currently accepting applications for a Speech Language Pathologist with immediate, July, and September start dates. Hours are typically 8:00am-3:30pm Monday Friday.

Essential Functions:
Expertise in treating a wide range of pediatric speech and language disorders; Knowledge of articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication interventions;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams;
Patience, creativity, and adaptability in engaging children during therapy sessions;
Proficient in documentation and record keeping, including evaluations, progress notes, and IEP reports
Experience with AAC devices and ABA methodologies a plus.
Required Credentials:
- Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech and Language Pathology.
- Current NYSED license as a Speech/Language Pathologist.
- Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) or Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH).
