FOUNDER'S LEGACY

Judith S. Bloch

Celebrating 60 Years of Vision and Impact
Judith S. Bloch was a pioneer, advocate, and visionary in early childhood education and intervention.

At a time when early intervention was not widely understood, she recognized its profound importance. Judith believed that identifying developmental challenges early, while actively involving families, could significantly improve outcomes for children.

In 1966, she founded Pre-Schooler's Workshop, beginning with a single classroom in Garden City, New York. It was one of the first special education preschools in the nation and a model for integrated, family-centered care.

Judith went on to develop and champion innovative approaches such as the Home-School Collaborative Model and the Five P's System, helping to shape best practices in early childhood intervention.
